Not long ago I was doing an Internet marketing consultation with one of my website subscribers. He was selling a travel/vacation deal and was having problems selling enough of them to recoup his initial investment. He wanted to know some "advanced" methods of selling he wasn't getting from reading the books and reading the websites all the people in his industry were recommending he study. Here's what I told him that just about anyone else can copy and adapt to any product in any industry: I said, forget about what everyone else is saying to do. Forget about all the different selling "techniques" and marketing secrets. Instead, put up a simple website and do an Internet audio "infomercial." In other words, get someone to interview you, whether its someone you know, a professional in your industry with some credibility or even someone you pay money to interview you (i.e. a professional interviewer). And all you do is make a simple outline of all the questions and the concerns that the most skeptical person has. What questions do they ask the most? What are the most common objections? What is the biggest reason people say no? What is the biggest reason people say yes? What do happy customers say? And so on and so forth. When you are done, you now have a CD, an MP3 file or audio tape you can give to your prospects. You have a link to it on your site your visitors can download and listen to. And if you have good quality and some money to spend, you can even take it to a local radio station and get some real mass appeal. Bottom line: Anyone can make good money simply by using Internet audio infomercials like this. They are cheap to make and easy to use. And just about anyone who sells anything can do it. |
