Donna Johnson Edwards — Biography
Ms. Edwards has 20+ years’ experience successfully managing and implementing IT projects. Donna currently focuses on IT legal compliance consulting, compliance gap analysis services and delivery of compliance and audit workshops. Her clients include Fortune 100, 500 and 1,000 companies as well as not-for-profit entities.
She was responsible for the creation of a business and operational plan to consult clients on IT compliance, primarily focusing on: software licensing, data protection, privacy, e-mail and Internet use and IT asset lifecycle management. She is a published author and writes a bimonthly column on technology issues. She is frequently interviewed by technology publications and asked to speak at conferences as a subject-matter expert.
She has worked as a consultant with Lotus/IBM where she played a key role in a $30 million project for the Federal Judiciary. She was the Senior Member of the New Enterprise Technology Team for Hamilton Beach/Proctor-Silex where she implemented international asset management programs and managed major network, e-mail and infrastructure projects.
Her experience also includes management of the implementation of over 150 networks for AmeriData/The Whitlock Group. Her IT experience also includes several years of purchasing, network administration and facilities management for CSX Realty, Inc.
Donna has also managed all aspects of 100+ Microsoft- and Novell-certified training courses. She is herself a Certified Novell Instructor with classroom experience in a multitude of software applications.
Ms. Edwards’ IT career has included work in the United States and other countries giving her a global view of IT and IT management. Her background includes both the technical and the business aspects of IT projects.
