Internet Entrepreneur - definition according to Webster: "a person who organizes and manages a business assuming the risk for the sake of profit" - in this case, an Internet business. Countless small businesses are being established each and every year.

As the Internet boom and technology grow, so do Internet businesses and work at home opportunities. Even companies with well established physical locations are making there mark by taking there business online.

How does the average person develop a homebased business to make a 6-figure income and quit their day job? That is the question many newcomers in the internet marketing business want to know the answer to.

I, myself, have purchased too many to count internet marketing materials because of the promises they made, only to find out that I would soon become very disappointed with my purchase. Not all of the information products out there in Cyberspace are waiting to take your money. There are some legitimate authors with a true product to sell. One must try to be an informed shopper when looking to buy any of these products.

Know the language lingo (adword, adsense, affiliate, blogs, newsletters, articles) and how the product pertains to these words. Make sure you are interested in the particular area the product is promoting. There is nothing more discouraging than trying to learn and make a business from something you have no interest in, other than trying to make an adequate income.

Research the author of the information product. What are their credentials? Are they well-known in the internet market? Do they have an established background as a successful Internet Entreprenuer? If you have done much searching online in this area, I am sure some prominent or familiar names will come to mind.

It does require work to go from ground zero to independent financial success, but it has been done over and over again. Set realistic goals for yourself on a daily or weekly basis and strive to achieve those goals in the appropriate time frame. When one goal is reached, set another. Start with one pathway to success and then begin to add others to ensure continual and multiple streams of income.
